A hunt is on for three suspected "sperm harvesters" who allegedly abducted a hitch-hiker and forced him to be intimate with two women before making off with his semen.
Mashonaland West police spokesperson Inspector Clemence Mabgweazara yesterday confirmed the incident that occurred near a security firm's premises in Chegutu's industrial sites last week.
Police said on March 29 this year at around 10pm in the industrial sites, the complainant (name withheld), aged 42, was walking on foot towards a road junction where he intended to hike a lift to Blue Rock Mine.
Suddenly an unidentified vehicle, silver in colour with three occupants on board, pulled off and one of them offered the complainant a ride.
"When the complainant got into the car, the driver told him they wanted to refuel in town before driving towards his destination. However, after fuelling up, the driver drove towards Chakari Road prompting the complainant to quiz them about where they were taking him," said Mabgweazara, adding the gang branched off into a dust road where they stopped the car a few metres from the main road.
One of the female occupants then blindfolded the man with a cloth before the male assailant undressed him.
The victim was forced to drink an unknown substance which made him feel weak and dizzy while his manhood got fully erect. He was ordered to lie on the ground before the female assailants took turns to sexually abuse him.
The assailants reportedly told their victim not to report the matter to anyone before fleeing from the scene. The man regained full consciousness a while later and reported the matter at Pfupajena Police Station. No suspects have been arrested in connection with the incidents.
Of late, there has been a lull in cases of alleged female rapists and sperm harvesters pouncing on hitch-hikers across the country.
