Man molests toddler (2), claims she is his wife

BULAWAYO - A WOMAN from Mpopoma is ruing the day she allowed her neighbour to take her two-year old daughter to the shops to buy her biscuits as the man was later found touching the girl's privates, claiming the toddler was his lover.

When he was busted by the toddler's sister the suspect Brian Tatire (29) reportedly claimed the minor was his lover and had to pay for the biscuits which he had bought her.

The man was caught red-handed by the toddler's sister at his home molesting her.

The sister alerted her mother and they quickly reported the matter to the police leading to the accused 's arrest.

The man appeared before a Bulawayo Court last week facing charges of indecent assault. He denied the charges arguing the girl fabricated the story and was remanded in custody pending trial.
