ZAPU Fumes over continued side-lining of other citizens by ZANU PF Government

ZAPU has noted with great detest the continued sidelining of other nationals by the government of President Robert Mugabe and strongly condemns the act as evil and deserving to be stopped.
"One wonders what will it take for the citizens of this country to be treated equal, we have seen the selection and honouring of National heroes to be selective, we have seen natural disasters afflicting the Tsholotsho villagers and no state assistance because the disaster was never declared a national disaster, and recently we have seen the Botswana kombi accident which claimed 12 lives and the disaster was not declared a national disaster, so no state assistance for funerals" reasoned Mr Thabiso Mabhena, the ZAPU Europe Secretary for Administration. "when the Harare-Nyamapanda accident occurred the government quickly and rightfully declared it a national disaster" Mr Mabhena continued.
In about two weeks ago a kombi bound for South Africa via Botswana carrying people mostly from Tsholotsho and Plumtree was involved in a horrific accident which claimed 11 lives on the spot.
The best government of Zimbabwe could do was to send Mr Mphoko to send its condolence message, but no financial assistance.
Many will remember the mine disaster in Roodeport, SA, when the Matabele citizens perished and the Embassy was forced by ZAPU and members of the public to be involved. In the Botswana accident the Ambassador has refused to even make a comment.
It is increasingly becoming clear that the government of Robert Mugabe considers its citizens as different, others with worthless lives and others with lives which deserve to be preserved and cared for. This discrimination will not end on its own, it will only take leadership, political radicalism and victims standing up and demanding to be treated with respect and demanding their full citizenship rights.
"Enough is enough, this silliness and continued marginalisation should stop forthwith, otherwise people have a right to assert their rights the way they deem fit" Mr Mabhena fumed.
Mr Mabhena said that ZAPU will seek to engage the government of Zimbabwe forcefully, so that it declares the Botswana accident a national disaster.
