The United Movement for Democratic Change which is set to have a rally this Sunday at Stanley square is also expected to organize provincial launches for the interaction of the unification of MDC and MDC Renewal at given times.

Preparations for the formation of the UMDC United Movement for Democratic are said to be well on course with the roadmap for the whole process of re-unification being expected to be revealed at the launches.

Speaking to journalists at a press conference yesterday MDC Spokesperson Nhlanhla Dube noted that the launches would follow the first rally being held in Bulawayo.

"There are going to be provincial launches thought-out the 10 provinces of the country which are going to be staged at given times.

"Everyone in their province will have an opportunity to interact with the unification process in that political stage," he said.

Although the UMDC is not a single party , Mr. Dube noted that MDC green and MDC would continue working together as they were still working to become a one party.

"Do not be surprised when you see renewal campaign in the western suburbs or in the eastern suburbs doing their mobilsation wearing orange and MDC green doing their mobilizations still wearing green.

"When they come together, they come together   not under the name of the final party but under the umbrella of the of UMDC , which will carry us to congress," said Mr Dube.

Speaking at the same occasion, MDC renewal spokesperson Mrs Dewa  described the parties as a marriage.

"We can call it a marriage ceremony  and in any ceremony we all enter as equals."

MDC Spokesperson Nhlanhla Dube however noted that if things did not go well there would be a rethink of the unification.

"In terms of where we stand with the reunification, we are engaged, not married. We do not have conjugal rights and they do not. If something does not work, of course there can be a think.

However currently we feel that the commitment that we have towards this unification is a strong one," he said
