Man denies 'prostitute' wife in court

A Harare woman, who is a part time dancer, dragged her hubby of 12 years to court demanding $150 for upkeep of their three year old kid.

Precious Dzenga told a court that her hubby - Lameck  Muzanenhamo who is a taxi driver  was refusing to bear responsibilities of the child.

She claimed Muzanenhamo was wasting all the money on beer.

"Lameck is a taxi driver, but the money he gets is spent on booze and women. He does not care for his own child.

"I know he can afford the $150 I am asking for because every night he brings home about $200.

"I am a part time dancer and I also work  in a night club but the money I get from that is too little," she said.

She added that she want her kid to attend boarding school since she was always not at home.

In response, Lameck said "For starters this woman is not even my wife, my wife is here with me today. I did not refuse to help her with money.

"She is a prostitute and is after my money. How can a three year old attend Bording School your worship?

"I told her to give my child but she refused. I can only afford to give her $25 because l also have other children to take care of."

The magistrate  Barbara  Mateko ordered Lameck to pay $50 starting from December 1.
