Togolese President Faure Gnassinbe has arrived in the country to officially open the 57th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) in Bulawayo tomorrow.
The trade and investment showcase which is being held under the theme: 'Innovate, Integrate and Industrialise,' brings together both local and international exhibitors.
The ZITF is being held at a time when SADC and the African continent as a whole have both taken a stand to ensure that countries in the region industrialise through value addition of their God given resources and strengthen their industrial bases in preparation for healthy competition on the international stage.
The Zimbabwean government is also taking steps to ensure that industries retool and produce high quality goods that should be able to compete effectively on the world markets.
A total of 19 countries are taking part in this year's ZITF and these include Malawi, Kenya, Japan, Russia, Botswana, Cyprus, China, Ethiopia, Germany, Indonesia, Iran, Poland, Namibia, Tanzania, South Africa and Zambia.
Some business delegations will be exploring trade and investment opportunities during the largest intra-regional trade fair south of the Sahara.
