Senior citizen robbed

A senior citizen was allegedly robbed of his ZAR1500 by three suspects who assaulted him while he waited for transport in Plumtree.
The injured Tadius Ndlovu (79) had to be rescued by Davison Dube after the attack.
The matter came to light at Plumtree magistrates courts yesterday where Sibongiseni Ngwenya (24), Siyabonga Ngwenya (22) and a minor.
The trio was remanded in custody by magistrate Mr Joshua Nembaware.
The state led by Selestine Madziwa alleged on January 15 the trio were drinking beer at a local bar when they saw the complainant waiting for transport.
They pounced on him and assaulted him before robbing him of his money.
The complainant was picked by a Good Samaritan, Davison Dube who took him to a temporary shelter and rendered first aid on him.
