A police officer stationed at Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Tsholotsho is in trouble after he was arrested for allegedly stealing eighteen cattle.
Alex Nyashanu (34) was dragged to Plumtree Magistrates' Court, where he appeared before Magistrate Joshua Nembaware.
Nembaware remanded the cop in custody to September 30.
The state, led by Sheila Nyathi, alleged sometime in August that the suspect had dubiously cleared the eighteen cattle and hired a truck to transport the loot to an abattoir in Bulawayo.
Fourteen of the loot were slaughtered at Accacia abattoir.
On September 1, the police conducted an anti-stock theft campaign and four complainants implicated the cop for their missing cattle.
A police report was file, and Alex is facing four counts of stock theft.
