Man bashes cop while resisting arrest

A Plumtree man, Godwishes Masango, is in serious trouble after he allegedly assaulted a police officer who was attempting to arrest him during a midnight altercation.
Masango appeared before Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware, who remanded him in custody.
Prosecutor Sheila Nyathi told the court that on 26 December last year, Masango was involved in a dispute with another person at Madambe Business Centre. When police officers arrived at the scene, Masango allegedly charged at Constable Mahlangu Nqoba and assaulted him while resisting arrest.
Additional officers intervened, subdued him and placed him in handcuffs before taking him to the police station.
