TODAY'S WORD
1Samuel 2:12 Now the sons of Eli were corrupt; they did not know the LORD.
Eli held the highest and most responsible positions among the people of God. As a man divinely chosen for the sacred duties of the priesthood, and set over the land as the highest judicial authority, he was looked up to as an example, and he wielded a great influence over the tribes of Israel. But although he had been appointed to govern the people, he did not rule his own household.
Surprisingly enough, the sons of the minister, who were themselves also ministering in the Temple *did not know God*. Its possible to be a Christian and still not know God. Why because the knowledge of God is shown through two major ways; the love for one another and obedience to God's law. Take good care of these two.
