MDC-T has claimed that police in Mt Pleasant left residents in a state of shock and agony when 3 police officers from Highlands police station illegally put a road block along Churchill road at the southern side of the then illustrious University of Zimbabwe.
"The unscrupulous, callous and inhuman trio threw a spike towards a car which was moving at a normal speed and had not seen and sign or signal with the inscription "Police ahead" this led to a tragic accident with the car overturning injuring the sweet family which was enroute to the other side of Mount pleasant," the MDC-T posted on Facebook.
"These officers were operating in a place that is NOT under their jurisdiction and they have led to tragic accident and consequent hospitalization of innocent people. The sad part of this is that these officer were DRUNK! One of them was vomiting uncontrollably and did not want to be separated from his beer."
The party said they attempted to run away for a hiding in one of Chiwengwa's houses which is close to the road, thank God the security guys in Alex had to grab them before they ran away.
"With this kind of policing it boggles my mind as to when will we as citizens police the police. I today became a strong believer of the relevance of physical counseling in times like these," said MDC-T.
