Army exposed the police

Since the military took over the control of vital organs and reigns of the government's parastatals including the usurping powers from the police when hey carried their coup last week in order to purify and pacify the rotten in the government. During that operation cose named Restore Legacy it has heavily exposed the double standards of the police force and drastic measures must be taken in order to curb and restore the force's identity.
The army really exposed the rampant corruption within this organisation and showed that the police force was the major root cause of corruption.
I carried out a random interview from citizens around the country and people from all walks of life have welcomed the development on the ground which has changed and made a sudden improvements.
The people said it was far much better to live without the corrupt police force which always aak for bribes amd kick backs especially on the roads. The people lamented the the usual massive deployments which are seen all over the country where the police do stop and searches.
According to some motorists they said there were no serious road accidents reported during the time of this operation and that there were no unnecessary loss of lives due to absence of the council police and ZRP chasing commutter omnibuses in town.
Another bar cashier in Mabvuku said, "Zimbabweans are well behaved without police. Infact we have just discovered that police are the trouble causers , we had a peaceful march without police from highfield to statehouse" He went on to say that there was no life lost , no noise, no vandalism, no looting, no beatings at all"
The major roads were clear and there were no traffic jams which are usually caused by randomly deployed police officers. Traffic could now move smoothly without much impediments."
There could be no actual statistics of road accidents reported during the period, but according to some analysts, they said only a few road accidents were recorded during that period and that the number has dropped down. There are also reports that the soldiers who were manning some of the feeder roads were not harrassing motorists neither asking for bribes.
Edrees Nyambaro who works in the Local Government and Public Works in Macheke said " I used to drive to work about 30 kms and I would need an hour to arrive because of many road blocks along the way and now it is taking me about 30mins to arrive at work".
Edson Admire Nyanhewe a Mutare based electrical engineer applauded the job done by the army and said that, "We demonstrated peacefully without the police provoking us , the police survive from corruption, when we try to hustle they come and impound our goods and we don't know where they put them".
Annah Dube said that, "Law and order has been restored and maintained and everything is now under control", she went on to say that crime rate has been reduced massively after removing police.
Shepherd Jonas blamed the police accusing them of working under instructions from their bosses as they were given set targets for each road block.
Some argued that people cannot live without a police force and that law enforcers are part of any government institution because they prevent and arrest anyone breaking the law or committing a crime and that task cannot be given to soldiers as they are not trained in that discipline.
The Police should never be ally to harrass and brutalise the people again. We have gone through hell at the hands of the Zimbabwe Republic Police in the last few years and people expect a change from the way they conduct their duties.
Immediate action is critical and must be taken into recognition to reduce the number of police deployment on our roads. We are a bruised nation which is coming from an idle position and we need to take off now. The police must be part and parcel of this vehicle of change as we aim to grow our economy quickly.
To the incoming President Emmerson Mnangagwa must make sure that the police force is detached from being a cash cow of the government but must arrest people who are economic saboteurs no matter they are politicians or what. Together we can make Zimbabwe a wonderful nation.
