Chikanga Dangamvura constituency MP MDC-T candidate attacked

Chikanga Dangamvura Constituency Member of Parliament candidate Honourable Prosper Chapfiwa Mutseyami was severely attacked by an ion rod at Nandos in Mutare on Saturday night.

He was attacked by thugs who were send by Lynnet Karenyi. The thugs were in a white Honda Rav4 with a registration number AEB 1346, which belongs to Joyce Makonya and was driven by her son Zvikomborero Majuru, and a blue pick up which belongs to Kind Karenyi, brother to Lynnet Karenyi.

The thugs took Honourable Mutseyami's car keys and Iphone7.

All this happened in the view of the security guard at Nandos. A police report was made at Mutare central police station and  Hon Mtseyami was taken to Murambe Gardens hospital.

It is reported that Karenyi, Chimhini and other Provincial and District Leadership held a meeting on Friday at the party's office in  Dawson street with thugs and soldiers to disrupt the elections which were supposed to be conducted on Sunday.

Another team which was led by Kind Karenyi and Zvikomborero Mujuru was deployed to beat up Hon Mutseyami and monitor the movement of the National team which was send to conduct the Primaries.

According to a reliable source which was part of the meeting held at Dawson on the 2nd of June , " Chimhinhi and Karenyi organized three groups which consists of Soldiers and other two groups of thugs. Soldiers were given 500 dollars , Raphel Mutandi was given 250 dollars  while Taurai Gumedhe and Jealous Mukorera were given 150 dollars each.

"These groups were ordered to beat and even cripple those who are associated with Mutseyami.

"These amounts were the deposits and the other amount was supposed to be paid after the process.

"200 dollars was deposited by Tatenda Nhamarare,  400 dollars by David  Chimhinhi, 200 dollars by Tekeshe 200 and 200 from Joyce Makonya."

However , the National team managed to conduct Primary elections peacefully and the winners are yet to be published.
