04 Feb 2015 at 15:40hrs | Views
In an event not yet heard of witnessed since the nonagenarian Mugabe rose to the looting throne of Zimbabwe - dhongi rakamera nyanga.

The bestowing of national hero status had always been a preserve for the politically correct that lived all their lives in a subject and slave-like submission to Africa's oldest despot - Mugabe.

The late MDC T South Africa Province secretary for Arts, Sports and Culture, Leader Charles Matorera received the honor of being declared a national hero. Several hundreds of people from all walks of life converged at the Hillbrow recreation Centre in Johannesburg to pay their last respects.

Speaker after speaker eulogized on the great exploits and sacrifice made by the departed leader whose struggle name was Comrade Shato. Rainos Tivatye, the MDC T Provincial Secretary announced the hero-status to the joy of the crowd in attendance. Neither was there any objection registered by the family, the leadership of any political party or any other organisation for that matter - therefore the status is uncontested and sustains.

In a bid to avoid confrontation with the general citizenry, as evidenced by the silence and no objection being registered, it is clear that even the leadership of Zanu PF have realized that Comrade Matorera's input into the welfare of the ordinary people and Zimbabwe's interests far much outweigh their narrow and partisan reasoning which recognizes only those who lick from the ass and palm of the senile Mugabe who has since overstayed his welcome and is now widely regarded as Zimbabwe's greatest liability and an abhorred inhibitor to our success as a people.

Comrade Charles Matorera was laid to rest in his ancestral Village under Chief Chitsunge in Buhera North - Manicaland. The MDC T party in South Africa bore all the costs of repatriation and the associated costs including ferrying the family from South Africa to Zimbabwe and back. A high powered MDC T delegation comprising Cde Trust Ndlovu (Organizer) Cde Dr. Richard Wangu Mazodze (Information) Cde Samuel Mavhunga (Provincial Executive) Cde Nhamo Chikowero (National Executive Aspirant) Cde Shelton Chiyangwa (Youth Chairman) Cde Precious Mutete (Organizer) accompanied the body of the national hero to his final resting place.

Comrade Charles Matorera had notified his fellow comrades that he wished not to be buried at the national heroes' shrine in Harare because he did not like to be rested with crooks, thieves and murderers clearly questioning why Border Gezi, Hunzvi and other hordes of infamous criminals are buried there.

In a bid to scuffle and deny Comrade Matorera his wish, some overzealous Zanu PF thugs aided by some security operatives had planned an ambush at Gaza Shopping Centre some27kilometers from the destination in an attempt to snatch the body of the deceased for onward burial at the national shrine against the wishes of the departed hero. The community, family and some sympathetic  and enlightened security operatives helped repel the devious agenda and a procession led the team as the whole populace saluted their own hero.

The body of national hero Matorera was laid to rest the same evening where thousands of community members attended. Comrade Matorera had succumbed to the painful and murderous torture he had been subjected to by the regime since the inception of the MDC T a party he had served diligently in the best interests of Zimbabwe.

The spirited efforts by Zanu PF thugs to attack the funeral entourage after the burial was failed by the dedicated MDC T leadership in Buhera North who provided the escort for the comrades till they had reached a safe place well out of reach of the enemy.

Comrade Matorera is survived by his wife, two daughters, siblings and the greater extended family.

Rest in peace National Hero ……………………Cde Shato!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wangu - Mine ……………………..Finally I got Mine - Ours
