Iconic Dr Amai Grace Mugabe puts record straight
25 Aug 2015 at 05:35hrs | Views
The iconic Dr Amai Grace Mugabe shamed detractors when she set the record straight that she is in a perfect working relationship with the two national Vice Presidents, Cdes Emmerson Mnangagwa and Phelekezela Mphoko.
While addressing the inaugural ZANU-PF Women's League National assembly in Harare last week, Dr Mugabe took a swipe at the prophets of doom that are busy fabricating and peddling damaging lies that she was in a turbulent situation with the two VPs as they allegedly squabble on who should succeed President Robert Mugabe. She dismissed such claims as absurd nonsense, which deserves to be rubbished with due contempt.
She spelt out clearly that the formal presidential appointments held by the two vice presidents remain valid as long as the president is impressed that they are working for the good of the country. Dr Mugabe clarified this matter, pointing out that there is a well defined procedure that will be followed if the need arises as opposed to mere speculations propelled by divisive elements.
The insatiable desire to subvert the formal way of doing things earned the former Vice President Joyce Mujuru an expulsion after she went against the tide, seeking to take over unconstitutionally from the incumbent President Mugabe.
The Mujuru precedence should knock sense into some people who are likely to fall into the same pit. Such people should be warned that they should desist from under-hand deals. In fact they should not rush to swallow before they chew sufficient enough.
Criticizing the party operations, as is the norm with some overzealous power-hungry individuals, is synonymous with a mutiny which should be resisted vigorously lest it destabilise the revolutionary party from within. It is critical to note that unity is the founding principle of success on the political landscape.
Dr Mugabe is famous for her assertive behavioural traits, which makes her the darling of everyone. She is also exceptionally popular for her unwavering candid talk which propels her to expose all evils perpetrated by anyone without fear or favour. In recent months she called a spade, a spade when she unmasked personalities that were engaged into clandestine under-hand deals which have the potential to compromise national interest. She still maintains the drive to make this country a better society by seeking to flush-out bad apples out of the basket.
Her philanthropic efforts are clear for all to see, including the unrepentant detractors. She is actively involved in catering for the welfare needs of the less fortunate in society, such as at her Mazowe orphanage. No one should begrudge her for embodying the spirit of motherhood and selflessness in a world of greed.
The whole society anxiously awaits Dr Grace's, tackling of corrupt practices by officials both in Government and the corporate world. Corruption is the cancer that is gnawing at the bone of society, threatening to unknot the tapestry of our social fabric.
The coming of Dr Grace onto the local political landscape has immeasurable benefits to the entire community. Her operations will certainly make a difference to the national fabric if we all rally behind her in support of her ideals that are people oriented. She is the most progressive icon in Zimbabwe in the contemporary times.
In the short time she has been in the public lime-light as a politician, she has demonstrated quite distinctive leadership qualities, which make her effective and efficient. Dr Amai Grace Mugabe is urged to keep up the good work she is doing for the good of the entire society.
Viva Dr Amai Grace Mugabe!
Viva national development!
Forwards ever, backwards never!
