MDC responds to 'Welshman Ncube is blooming, unstoppable'

In response to an article published by some internet news sites over the weekend under the pen name G.S Maphosa titled "Welshman Ncube is Blooming, unstoppable" the MDC hereby unequivocally distances itself from the vitriolic, offensive, false, defamatory and unwarranted attacks on current and former members of the party. Everything about the article is contrary to our strong commitment to the basic values and tenets of respect for the dignity and privacy of every individual.
We categorically put it on record that G.S Maphosa is NOT a member of the MDC and his/her opinions do not represent those of the MDC. There is no record of a G.S Maphosa in any of our membership files in the Midlands or anywhere else in the country.
The statements in that article show not only a wholesale disregard for the MDC's values and principles but are a deliberate mischievious attempt to defile the party's image of principled conduct of politics and respect for the human dignity of every Zimbabwean.
The MDC will always fight fair and clean and will never approve of gutter politics. We reject totally the politics of slander and vilification exemplified by the said article.
MDC reaffirms its commitment to its founding values, in particular the unwavering commitment to the principled, dignified, respectful and disciplined conduct of politics.
