Pastor Evan Mawarire
It is undeniable that Zimbabwe faces a protracted mutually reinforcing economic and political crisis of monumental proportions right now and arresting Pastor Evan Mawarire won't bring a solution to the crisis we are currently facing. Zimbabwe's economy remains in a fragile state, with an unsustainably high external debt and massive deindustrialisation and informalisation. The economic slowdown due to liquidity challenges, outdated technologies, structural bottlenecks that include infrastructure deficits, corruption and a volatile and fragile global financial environment continue to ravage the country. Much remains to be done in Zimbabwe to improve the economic and social environment than to arrest a citizen who is just exercising his constitutional right as a bona fide citizen of this once great nation. Key economic sectors continue to contract and the government struggles to pay wages and provide basic services. The government does not have a plan the country is willing to rally behind. The government has squeezed the beleaguered tax base further, securing limited fiscal remedy and generating resentment. The reality of the situation is that the country is in a crisis, a deep structural crisis. An unprecedented crisis!

There is continued and persistent incompetence and corruption in the judiciary system. There is serious political interference in the performance of duty by judicial officers. It is in independent Zimbabwe where money speaks louder than the law. It is in independent Zimbabwe people are abducted for a no reason by the state apparatus. It is in independent Zimbabwe where a Zimbabwean cannot enjoy his/her civil rights! It is in independent Zimbabwe where the good are vilified whilst the bad are magnified! It is in independent Zimbabwe where injustice is the order of the day! It is in independent Zimbabwe where those with degrees are in the streets selling tomatoes! It is in independent Zimbabwe where the economy is being driven by the informal sector! It is only in independent Zimbabwe where the industrial sites have turned to be gravesites of the day!

Arresting and harassing Pastor Evan Mawarire will not address the challenges we face as a nation! Arresting and harassing Pastor Evan Mawarire will not bring salaries for civil servants! Arresting and harassing Pastor Evan Mawarire will not bring an end to the corruption that has brought the country to its knees! Arresting and harassing Pastor Evan Mawarire will not bring cash in banks where Zimbabweans struggle to access their hard earned cash! Arresting and harassing Pastor Evan Mawarire will not bring production in our farms where the new farmer has mastered the art of growing grass! Arresting and harassing Pastor Evan Mawarire will not improve the health sector that is in shambles! Above all it will not bring back our US$15 billion which we lost due to your corruption, mismanagement and failed governance! It will not also put conscience in VP Mphoko's head and heart, where he sees it fit to stay in a hotel at the expense of suffering Zimbabweans! It will not make the President realize that he is old and incapacitated and now a liability to this nation! After all it won't solve the internal squabbles in Zanu PF! You are only fuelling the fire Comrades!

#Thisflag is a spirit Cdes and you can not kill a spirit! It is a revolution that will sweep you off your feet and burry you deep down that your ghosts will never rise again even in the darkest night! It is PEOPLE POWER! It is a rude awakening Cdes! It is a whirlwind! It is change and it is here to stay till you call it quits! It is a force you cannot fight! Is this really the Zimbabwe that those that waged the liberation struggle fought for? Is this really the Zimbabwe we want? A Zimbabwe where the injustice and brutality of the white minority group against the black majority has been replaced by a black minority group against the majority blacks.

Free Mawarire now and focus on the economy!

Free Mawarire now or resign from office!

Free Mawarire now or face the full wrath of people power!
