Tshabalala police station locks gate at night

Dear Editor
Thieves in Nketa and Tshabalala have become so daring that they are breaking into houses in broad day light.
Window smashing of cars and grabbing of valuables during the night has become a menace.
Yesterday they broke our car window at around 2 Am and we rushed to Tshabalala police station, to our amazement we found the main gate closed and we had to hoot to alert the officer who was at the guard room. when we inquired he just said it was an instruction from above.
At charge office we found only two officers which Im glad to say were very helpful and professional, but what i find to be disturbing is that if you visit this station in the afternoon there will be more than 30 officers roaming in that station.
May the officer in charge make sure that he deploys more man power during the night to patrol our residential areas and open the main gate just in case some body will be running away from danger to seek sanctuary at the police station.
