Purity by Grace

These days most churches preach on healing, deliverance, salvation and prosperity which are important elements of the gospel. I would like to talk about an equally important aspect which is often neglect and its called Purity.
Key scripture: 1 Timothy 4v12 "Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit in faith, in PURITY."
In our key scripture, the Apostle Paul encourages young Timothy among other things to be an example to believers in area of purity. Today believers are most common compromisers you can ever find in this sinful earth. They cover up their sins buy showing you what they have achieved by their gifts, for example, they have prayed for the sick, visited the needy or given a large offering at church. But when it comes to purity they fall short.
Pure living helps you to not only preach the gospel with your mouth but with your lifestyle, that is why Paul emphasizes to Timothy the fact that he should be an example to the believers. Many people don't buy Christianity these days because they see Christians compromising at work, school and in business. Christian women fail to submit to their unsaved husbands by being too proud at home. Remember God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. These women should humble themselves and God will give them the grace to help convert their husbands to the saving grace of God.
God has given us the grace to live pure lives, the problem is we want to do things on our own effort. The grace of God should be embraced and it will teach us to say no to sin and compromise. Purity will help you to have answered prayer because when you pray, you don't feel condemned and unworthy to receive from God. The Bible says that if your heart condemns you, you have no confidence before God. If you have no confidence then you can believe for your prayer to be answered, hence the need for purity to be the pinnacle of your life.
My brothers and sisters, its time to fully use the grace of God that has been granted to you and begin to live holy and righteously in this present age as stated in the book of Titus. Let purity be your motto, shun sin and purse clean living. Shalom.
