Zimbabwe thumped by Bangladesh

Shakib Al Hasan completed his maiden five-wicket haul as Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by 145 runs in the first one-day international to take a 1-0 lead in a three-match series in Dhaka on Saturday.

Mushfiqur Rahim hit 107 off 109 balls to guide Bangladesh to 273-9 before Shakib's 5-47 helped the hosts dismiss Zimbabwe for 128 in 36.1 overs.

The second match of the series will be held in the same venue on Monday.
