Gwanda United fails to meet Division 1 requirements

KWEKWE City Stars and Munyati Hotspurs are in line to make their First Division debuts after the Central Region Soccer League welcomed them.
The two teams join the league as replacements for Gwanda-based teams, Gwanda United and West Nicholson, which failed to meet the requirements of CRSL and had to drop back.
Gwanda United and West Nicholson's exit meant that the CRSL would have reverted back to a 16-team league but the league administration open doors to other prospective teams.
The coming in of Munyati Hotspurs creates a derby in the CRSL that will involve ZPC Munyati while the same will be with Kwekwe City Stars involved against Chrome Stars and Tongogara.
Probable CRSL 2017 teams
Blanket Mine, Black Boots, Border Strikers, Chrome Stars, FC Platinum U19, Ivan Hoe Mine, Jessie Mine, Kwekwe City Stars, Makusha United, MSU, Nichrut, TelOne Midlands, Tongogara, Vumbachikwe, Munyati Hotspurs, Whawha and ZPC Munyati.
