JOHANNESBURG - National First Division outfit Highlands Park have snapped up Zimbabwean goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini on a free transfer from AmaZulu.
Kapini, with over 150 Absa Premier Soccer League games to his name, should bring some stability for Lions of the North, who conceded 22 goals in 16 games and lie fourth from bottom.
"I'm surprised AmaZulu let Kapini go," a source told Soccer Laduma.
"He's a very good shot-stopper, but we're not sure if he's going to be in our side for Wednesday's (today) match against Garankuwa United."
Kapini joins another new goalkeeping teammate, Malcolm Jacobs, formerly of Glendene United, which currently tops the Western Cape ABC Motsepe League.
The Harare-born man joined Usuthu in 2011 from Platinum Stars.
