Chiyangwa denies neglecting Mighty Warriors

ZIFA president Philip Chiyangwa has denied allegations that the football mother body is neglecting the Mighty Warriors.
The women's team which face South Africa's Banyana Banyana in a friendly match at Barbourfields stadium next week on Thursday, has yet to begin camp for the African Women's Cup of Nations finals in Cameroon.
Chiyangwa denies that the team has been neglected saying financial constraints were the major reason the team has not been able to begin preparations for the women AFCON which begins in two and half weeks time.
Chiyangwa says it is not a question of the Warriors being given preferential treatment over the women's team but cites the prevailing economic challenges for the team's failure to go into camp, adding that the men's team generate their own resources.
The team's training programme is in shambles and plagued by poor logistical planning, administrative and financial issues with less than 16 days to go before the 10th edition of the women's AFCON which runs from the 19th of this month to the 3rd of December.
The Mighty Warriors were drawn to play against neighbours South Africa, Egypt and hosts Cameroon.
