New Wheel Loader Tyre at BAUMA 2013
The new tyre offers 25% more load capacity than its predecessor and will be accompanied by another tyre making its world premiere in Munich
Goodyear is launching a new wheel loader tyre for heavy applications, which will be shown at the Bauma 2013 construction vehicles and equipment exhibition in Munich, Germany, on Stand 213 in Hall A6, from 15 to 21 April 2013. A new port tyre will also make its premiere at Bauma.
Amongst the many benefits the new Goodyear RT-5D wheel loader tyre offers in comparison to its predecessor , is 25% more carrying capacity, greater comfort and more powerful traction. This new addition to Goodyear's Off The Road (OTR) tyre range is a level 250 (L5) traction tyre for severe conditions such as in quarries, difficult industrial applications and recycling as well as in open and underground mines.
Goodyear RT-5D technology
The Goodyear RT-5D features Hi-Stability Carcass Technology, which combines reinforcements in the bead area, on the carcass breakers and at the ply turn-up. This results in enhanced productivity performance, greater protection for the sidewalls in aggressive environments and minimized deflection. The additional 25% load-carrying capacity per cycle means increased productivity and therefore profitability. The new tyre also gives more comfort.
The new RT-5D wheel loader tyre replaces its predecessor the RT-5C, which was a popular choice with operators for many years. The RT-5D in size 29.5R25 is already approved as original equipment fitment on Volvo L220G and L250G wheel loaders.
Goodyear RT-5D sizes and load capacities
The RT-5D in size 29.5R25 has a maximum load per tyre of 22.4 tonnes at 10 km/h and 6.5 bars inflation pressure. Size 29.5R25 is currently available and the line-up will be extended to cover the full range of middle size wheel loaders. Sizes 20.5R25, 23.5R25, 26.5R25 and 875/65R33 will be available soon.
Debuts at the BAUMA
RT-5D is not the only new tyre the company will launch at the BAUMA: a new port tyre designated the EV4C will also make its debut during the exhibition and more information will be released on this at the show.
