Umahlekisa Comedy Club has confirmed that its deal with Cresta Churchill Hotel of providing entertainment for guests at the hotel has not been cancelled.
The Comedy club which recently sealed a deal to perform at the hotel every second Saturday of each month changed its venue for its 2nd Anniversary from Cresta to Rainbow Cinema Bulawayo.
The anniversary is expected to be held on the 28th of March.
In an interview with Radio Dialogue, Umahlekisa Director Ntando Van Moyo noted that the change of venue was mainly due to the large numbers of people expected for the show.
"People asked us to have a bigger and more accessible and central place. Other people were saying they had to travel twice so as to get to Cresta because it Is a bit far.
"We have therefore changed the venue to accommodate more people."
Mr. Moyo noted that had received a lot of enquiries for the show and that they were also looking forward to it.
"What makes this anniversary different is that we will be having some guys Zambezi news, Michael Kudakwashe and Q the Boss , Clive Vistarolice Chigubu, Keith Mdavee Nkosi, Marshal Elando Da G
and Zwexy Mackena.
Ntando also noted that there would be new Talented comedians who would be given some slots and showcase their material.
Umahlekisa is Bulawayo's first comedy club founded by Comedian Ntandoyenkosi Moyo and Clive Chigubu as part of efforts to promote comedy in Bulawayo.
