KWAITO star Professor wants out of Kalawa Jazmee, so says an insider at the stable, which runs Trompies, Berita Khumalo, Alaska, Dr Malinga and Heavy K.
The source suggests that Professor, real name Mkhonzeni Langa, is unhappy about the marketing of his album University of Kalawa Jazmee.
"Professor is no longer a Kalawa artiste - ever since he told Mahoota that he had failed to market his album. He threw his toys out of the cot and now he's not on speaking terms with Mahoota. To book him these days, you call him directly," claimed the source.
"He accused Mahoota of not paying attention to his 2014 album and ended up with disappointing sales. Now he relies on concerts and events only!"
Another source said: "He wants to start his own label that has nothing to do with Kalawa."
A top musician, who did not want to be named, said: "A lot of artistic egos clashed at Kalawa. Uhuru broke up, Trompies' album failed to rise to the occasion, and Winnie Khumalo left due to lack of progress. "And all the blame is directed at Mahoota." Sunday Sun was told that Professor was seen at the Sony music offices in Jo burg.
