Pamela "Gonyeti" Zulu, who recently parted ways with Jah Prayzah's Third Generation, has roped in the services of the Uzumba-born star's former manager Filda ‘Mother Filda" Muchabaiwa.

Muchabaiwa, who was replaced as manager of Third Generation by Keen Mushapaidze last year, told the Daily News yesterday that she has agreed to manage the affairs of Gonyeti‘s seven-member backing group called Horse Power.

"I have agreed to assist Gonyeti run the affairs of her newly assembled band. I am glad that she has got the necessary talent which will enable to make it to the top. I was initially reluctant to get on board but she was very persuasive," was all Mother Filda was prepared to say on Monday night at the City Sports Bar where Gonyeti took part in the weekly Jam Sessions.

Jah Prayzah's former backing vocalist is confident that her just-appointed manager will make her flourish.

"There is a green light at the end of the tunnel. With Mother Filda's help, I am confident that I will make an immediate mark on the music scene. My fans should expect an album in October," she said.

Before joining Jah Prayzah a couple years ago, Gonyeti was a lead singer for two Harare-based bands- Jabavu Drive and Summer Breeze.

The mother of two has a single under her belt which was produced by Clive Mono Mukundu at Monolios studios.

"When I recorded my first album I was still very much a greenhorn in the music industry. I wrote songs with the help of Mono. My forthcoming album will obviously be a much more mature album," said the 30 year old songstress.

At the City Sports Bar's Monday Jam Session, Gonyeti thrilled music fans by performing several songs by music superstar Oliver Mtukudzi that included Gondo, Bvongodza Muto and Seiko Mwari. Her animated performance prompted some revellers to shower her with money during her performance.

On Monday night Gonyeti shared the stage with James Nyamande ,Nesto; Taurai Mandebvu; Amanda Manyowa; Mzimba Chairman, Douglas Chimbetu, Power Express,Jane Marimo and Simba Band, Terry Bliss and Batonga Crew .
