SA permits appointment schedule commence for Zimbabweans

ZSP APPLICATION ENROLMENT ONLINE APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING COMMENCES 01 OCTOBER 2014
The Department of Home Affairs (DHA, announced the creation of the new Zimbabwean Special Dispensation Permit of 2014, or to use the acronym. the 'ZSP'.
Salient Features of the ZSP Application Process:
• All DZP's will expire on 31 December 2014, irrespective of when it was issued and irrespective of expiry date mentioned on the permit
• Dispensation of Zimbabweans Project or 'DZP' permit holders who wish to remain in South Africa can reapply for the ZSP, subject to certain conditions
• These conditions include, but are not limited to: a valid Zimbabwean pass,: evidence of employment, business or accredited study, and a clear criminal record
• The ZSP application process is only open to those who applied in 2010, irrespective of whether their applications were approved or declined
• Applications to renew permits will be managed by VFS Visa Processing SA Ptv Ltd and adjudicated by the Department of Home Affairs
• Online application for appointments commences on 01 October 2014 and submission of applications commences on 01 November 2014 until 30 April 2015
• Application appointments close on 31 December 2014
• Application submission and biometric enrolment only with confirmed confirmed appointments at the VHS Global Centres will be permitted.
• VFS Global service fee: R800 (inclusive of VAT)
Department of Home Affairs Fingerprint Clearance fee: R70 (inclusive of VAT)
• ZSP applications will be accepted at VFS Global centres in Durban. Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Gauteng, Midrand, Rustenburg, Kimberley, Polokwane, Nelspruit, George and Blomrontein
Process for applying for Zimbabwean Special Dispensation Permit
1. Apply online & schedule appointment 01 Oct to 31 Dec 2014
2. Visit VFS Global Centres to submit ZSP application & complete biometric enrolment 01 Nov 2014 to 30 Apr 2015
3. Passport return at VFS Global Centres
