Mugabe meets Zambia's white President

As Zambians await the announcement of the final results for the 2015 presidential election tonight, Zambia's Acting President Guy Scott paid a courtesy call on President Robert Mugabe who is the current SADC Chairperson, Saturday afternoon.
Speaking to local and foreign journalists after emerging from the meeting with President Mugabe, Scott said he is a personal friend of President Mugabe and they discussed various issues.
On Zambia's election, Scott said judging from the results released so far, the election has been a close contest between his party's candidate Edgar Lungu and Hakainde Hichilema of the UNPD.
Scott was accompanied by Zambia's Foreign Affairs Minister Harry Kalaba, Minister of Chiefs and Traditional Affairs Professor Nkandu Luo and Zambia's ambassador to Zimbabwe Mrs Ndiyoyi Mutiti.
Acting President Scott did not qualify to contest in the presidential election because he is Zambian by birth but has Irish origins.
11 candidates contested in the election but Lungu and Hichilema were the two front runners from the start.
