Gaborone West police moved swiftly and arrested a man who allegedly robbed, raped and literally bathed his victims at Phase 2 on Friday morning.

Superintendent Agreement Mapeu of Gaborone West police confirmed that they managed to hunt down the man and arrested him over the weekend. "We arrested the suspect on Saturday and we managed to recover two of the four cellphones that he stole from his victims," he said.

The Voice reported that it is alleged that on the fateful morning at around 3am the victims, a 36-year old woman and her 27-year old sister had been sleeping when the rapist who was armed with a knife broke into the elder sister's room through the window after damaging the burglar bars.

The man allegedly robbed the woman of her Samsung S6 Edge cellphone and a Samsung tablet before dragging her to the younger sister's room where he took her AG and Blackberry cellphones.

The man is said to have then dragged the younger sister to the living room and raped her before returning to the room and raped the elder sister who screamed helplessly.

The culprit who did not use a condom in both rape incidents is said to have ordered the victims to take a bath and when they resisted he forcefully bathed them.

He is said to have then fled with the stolen items that are valued at P13 699.00.

Superintendent Mapeu says the suspect will appear before Village Magistrates court on Friday.
