MDC-T gathering cleared by police

The Movement for Democratic Change (MDC-T) has been cleared by Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) to hold their African child day commemorations in Mvurwi on Sartuday, provincial youth chairman Tonderai Samhu has confirmed.
MDC T youths are set to gather at Suoguru shops on 17 June to commemorate the day of the African child under the theme African child, shape Africa's future, promoting youth participation in decision making.
Samhu said the police have finally nodded to their request and gone are the days when Mashonaland Central used to be ZANU PF hunting ground.
The program is on in Mvurwi at the shops since police has finally given in to our booking , gone are the days when Mashonaland Central used to be dominated by ZANU PF we have taken over.
Basically, we are not worried about numbers on the day as we are only targeting brave comrades to remember this day during these times of poverty and unemployment.
Meanwhile, the clearance by police took many opposition members by surprise as they are known for foiling events organised by the opposition chief among them MDC events in Guruve district.
