Lover strikes girlfriend’s son with brick

#000000">A man from Bulawayo's Makokoba suburb struck his lover's son on the head with a brick when he questioned him what he was doing in his mother's bed.
#000000">As a result of the assault, Bulawayo magistrate Ms Sibongile Msipa heard that the complainant has now developed fits, a condition he did not have before the attack.
#000000">Ringo Sibanda (50) of 2034, 2nd Street, Makokoba, appeared in court yesterday facing charges of assault as defined in Section 89 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act, Chapter 9:23.
#000000">He was remanded in custody to 21 October and the magistrate asked Miss Paida Zengeni, for the State, to check on the complainant's condition before the next remand date.
#000000">On 9 September at about 11pm, Mr Musekwa Ndlovu got home in Vulindela Flats and found Sibanda sleeping in his mother's bed.
#000000">Mr Ndlovu asked him what he was doing in his mother's bed and a misunderstanding ensued resulting in Sibanda going out of the house and allegedly arming himself with a brick.
#000000">He allegedly struck Mr Ndlovu once on the back of the head and he collapsed soon after Sibanda had allegedly run away from the scene.
#000000">As a result of the assault, the State will seek to prove that Mr Ndlovu developed fits, a condition he did not suffer from before the alleged assault.
