NYARADZAI Zindi from Nketa 9 in Bulawayo said she treasured the house she bought with her husband Lovemore Zindi 27 years ago. But Lovemore's hot sex life has allegedly turned that cherished asset into a brothel.

The heartbroken Nyaradzai (51) lifted a lid on her stormy marriage claiming that her 59-year-old husband was a sleep around sexual athlete who was in the habit of bringing a string of girlfriends home for sex in her presence.

She said after the alleged sex acts, her husband would force her to clean blankets and sheets he would have messed with his girlfriends.

Nyaradzai said while most women would have beaten the daylights out of their cheating husbands or even worse, killed them, she summoned her strength and decided to live with the situation.

She said her husband's weird behaviour - bonking in her presence - was a way of allegedly "fixing" her after she reportedly refused to vacate their matrimonial home. She further stated that whenever she reprimands him, Lovemore turns violent threatening to kill her. Terrified by the incident, Nyaradzai approached the Bulawayo Civil Court seeking legal recourse against her alleged abusive husband.

"I am married to Lovemore Zindi and the marriage still exists. He has gone violent and has been physically and verbally abusing me on several occasions. He is forcing me to vacate our matrimonial home and go back to my parents' home with nothing. As a way of fixing me after I refused to vacate our matrimonial home he brings his numerous girlfriends home for sex with them on our matrimonial bed in my presence.

"He is also forcing me to clean the mess he would have left with his girlfriends on our matrimonial bed. Whenever I confronted him he insulted me saying I am stupid. He is also threatening to kill me saying he wants me dead. On 29 September he said he had a dream while killing someone and his hands were full of blood (sic).

"The following morning when I tried to pray he chased me away saying he did not want me to pray in the bedroom. I do not know the meaning of all this and I want this court to help by granting me a peace order against my husband before the abuse turned fatal," said a bitter Nyaradzai.

In response, who Lovemore strenuously denied his wife's claims, stating that she was trying to fright him not to "pollute" their bedroom by always placing a Bible on their matrimonial bed. He said the house he was accused of turning into a brothel belongs to him.

"I am not agreeing with what she said. I am not physically abusing her as she claimed. The house she is claiming I am bringing girlfriends to is mine. I bought it without her knowledge," he said.

Presiding magistrate Marylene Mtshina however, ordered the couple to keep peace between each other by not physically, verbally abusing or threatening each other.

She also ordered Lovemore not to deny his wife access to their matrimonial home before referring them for counselling for eight weeks.
