A tobacco farmer identified as Knowledge Fiato from Pembi Chase farm in Mvurwi reportedly crashed his newly bought Toyota Wish vehicle last night before his wife could ride in it.

It is not known yet whether Fiato has a driving licence or not and the cause of the accident remains a mystery.

A source claims that Fiato's wife was fuming this morning saying their vehicle crashed before she could even ride in it.

"There were nine passengers on board, seven adults and two children... all escaped unhurt. It's so sad that police don't notice that they cause more accident than potholes. Motorists now prefer to drive at night, which is unsafe. During the day there are too many roadblocks,"  said the source.

However Fiato confirmed the accident to Bulawayo24.com, he said they were six people in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

Accidents are mushrooming in Mash-Central as everyday an accident is recorded.

Police is urging motorists to take it easy on the roads especially this coming Easter and independence holidays.
