Zanu-PF elections will be held from cell level

The 315th Politburo meeting and the second to be chaired by President Emmerson Mnangagwa in his new capacity also resolved party elections will be held from the cell to provincial level.

The pronouncement was made by the new Political Commissar of Zanu-PF Rtd Lieutenant General Engelbert Rugeje.

Rtd Lieutenant General Rugeje has made it clear that all the organs of the party should be alive and vibrant and actively participate in the voter registration and subsequent polling process to ensure that Zanu-PF wins resoundingly in the forthcoming harmonised elections.

He has made it clear that leaders should be in touch with the party from the cell to branch, district and provincial levels to ensure all familiarise and appreciate the party's ideology.

Other reports were also heard from Patrick Chinamasa, Rtd Air Chief Marshal Perrence Shiri on the state of agriculture, Dr Mike Bimha on escalating prices of commodities locally and the three tier pricing system, from the principal of the Chitepo College of Ideology Munyaradzi Machacha and the President and First Secretary's welcome remarks.
