Hubby kills wife over Ecocash

A Harare man has been arrested after he murdered his wife during an argument over an Ecocash amount.
Zimbabwe Republic Police said the 41 year old man killed his 27 year old wife in Hatfield Harare after the couple had been involved in a dispute over an Ecocash amount. The husband is reported to have wanted to cash out money from his wife's Ecocash account resulting in a heated argument.
The argument led to the husband to fatally assault the wife. He has since been arrested.
In a related incident a 23 year old man from Mudzi was assaulted with several half bricks and a broken beer bottle after an argument with fellow imbibers.
The police have urged members of the public to uphold sanctity of life and resolve disputes in an amicably manner.
ZRP added that it is concerned with the increase in murder cases that are happening all over the country as a result of disputes which could have been resolved.
