Mark Zuckerberg owned mobile applications WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook went down on Monday afternoon after what many international media reports called a major crash or major outage.
The apps are owned by Facebook and run on shared platforms.
An attempt to use Facebook produced a message that says,"Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on it and we'll get it fixed as soon as we can."
Responding to the situation, WhatsApp took to Twitter and said:
We're aware that some people are experiencing issues with WhatsApp at the moment. We're working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience!
