Ekhaya vote, a consortium of civic organisations have intensified voter education in rural areas in a bid to increase voter awareness.
Ekhaya vote spokesperson, Nkosikhona Dibiti said they have intensified voter education in rural areas.
He said they are doing the second blitz by focusing our energy in the rural areas like Insiza South, Lupane West where those constituencies are highly likely to be affected by the delimitation process.
"We are using a soccer tournament, so they come with their teams from different areas. After their matches they are then registered to vote because we will be having the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (Zec)," he said.
Dibithi said one of the bigger challenges in the rural areas is the information gap, there is less education happening at grass root level.
He said mostly its people listening on the radio and when they have questions, no one is there to answer.
"We have noticed that people largely feel that voting does not help, and this is one of the conversations we have been having. We are saying let us have our constituencies whether people feel it is necessary to vote or not," he said.
