Former Finance Minister Christopher Kuruneri's widow Paidamoyo is appealing against a stock theft conviction she got from Concession magistrates courts last month.
Kuruneri was slapped with a US$500 fine and an additional four months which was conditionally suspended by Concession magistrate Lyne Chinzou for stealing 49 goats from her neighbours in Mazowe.
She was sentenced on August 9.
According to state papers on May 10, four schoolchildren saw a flock of 49 goats and assumed that they belonged to Kuruneri before driving them to her farm gate.
Kuruneri's worker told her that the goats had been driven at her gate and she instructed her worker to drive the goats in her pen leading to her arrest.
