Zimbabwe fuel price hike announced

The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority has announced a significant fuel price increase, with the pump price of diesel rising to US$1.76 per litre, up from US$1.65, with effect from 7 September.
Petrol now costs US$1.65, up from US$1.61.
The average Brent crude oil price increased from $79.75 a barrel to $84.78 over the past month due to production cuts by Saudi Arabia.
The increase in fuel and LPG will trigger a further increase in the cost of goods and services in a country experiencing a worsening economic crisis.
