The Universal Peace Federation (UPF) and Arch-bishop Johannes Ndanga's flopped plot to cause anarchy and despondency during and after Zimbabwe's elections has been exposed following an audio where the later tipped a grouping of Bishops under IAPD that they should support the former's appointment authority (Dr Nevers Mumba who is a member of UPF) and his reports on the country's elections.
The audio came after a grouping of Bishops (under Arch-bishop Johannes Ndanga) questioned Ndanga on the sincerity, neutrality, independence and credibility of SADC Elections Observer Mission's Head, Dr Nevers Mumba on Zimbabwe's August general elections.
"Mangwanani mangwanani mamuka seyi?, (good morning good morning!, let me ask if..) ndati ndibvunze through IAPD President kuti are you aware that the Head of SADC Election Observer Mission in the country (Zimbabwe), Baba Dr Nevers Mumba is a member of IAPD Zambia as well as IAPD Africa?.
"Muenzi wenyu muno President Chikuni. Eh Dr Mumba is your guest, as well as former President, Goodluck Jonathan who is heading Election Observer Mission of the African Union and he is your guest again," Ndanga reassured.
"He is the Chairman for the International Summit of Peace (ISP) responsible for chairing all former presidents of countries affiliated to UPF, hence it is important to know that we have two visitors (guests) who are leading of our country and I thank you," Ndanga closed remarks.
After sensing danger following a scathing attack on Dr Nevers Mumba by Ambassador Christopher Mutsvangwa on his alleged bias during the release of the preliminary election observer mission during the elections, Ndanga rushed to issue press statements and a series of press conferences, a clear sign for concealing his intentions and roles in the just-ended elections.
This publication is reliably informed that prior to Zimbabwe's general elections, Arch-bishop Ndanga frequently visited Zambia to meet with Mumba and other Zambian delegates for closed door meetings with the intentions to effect regime change in Zimbabwe.
This is not for the first time since Ndanga caused confusion in both political and religious sections. Ndanga once mobilised vapostori in Rufaro Stadium denouncing then Vice President, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa where former First Lady, Grace Mugabe explicitly claimed that Mnangagwa was power-hungry.
Meanwhile, Arch-bishop Ndanga and the regional chairperson of the African Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, Reverend Bakary Camara has paid a courtesy call on President Emmerson Mnangagwa with the recent general elections and the role of the church in national development on the agenda.
Speaking after a closed-door meeting, Reverend Camara, said they spoke about how his organisation can work with Zimbabwe in cementing peace and relations of the family unit.
"Today was a great day as the chairman of the council of the Universal Peace Federation. We came to see His Excellency and congratulate him for the great victory for Zimbabwe and Africa. We have been discussing together for three years and now we're back and can share what can be done together in terms of peace, relations within families, in relation to development," he said.
Reverend Camara also emphasised the role of the church in nation-building.
"Nation building should be supported by the church, the spiritual side of human beings is a core value, so that is why we preach love, peace and caring for others. If the church can understand its core values, then naturally, peace and stability will prevail," said Reverend Camara.
President Mnangagwa has on numerous platforms noted the importance of the church in economic development while stressing that freedom of worship is guaranteed in Zimbabwe.
