ZANU-PF has reaffirmed its dedication to grassroots development and empowerment during a highly successful rally held yesterday at Sweet Home, Ward 13 in Insiza North Constituency.
The event drew a strong crowd and was headlined by the ZANU-PF National Political Commissar, Munyaradzi Machacha.
In his keynote address, Machacha announced a major economic boost for the constituency in the form of a US$30,000 revolving fund, issued under the leadership of the First Secretary of the Party and President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.
The fund is aimed at supporting local businesses, community projects, and income-generating activities, with a view to accelerating economic growth and self-sufficiency in the constituency.
Addressing the challenge of poor mobile network coverage, Machacha called upon the Deputy Minister of ICT and Courier Services, Dingumuzi Phuti, who swiftly responded by deploying NetOne technicians to the area.
A new network booster will be erected in Ward 20, with installation expected to be completed by next Saturday.
This development is set to improve connectivity and digital access for residents.
Further ICT support came from POTRAZ, which donated 20 laptops, 2 smart boards, and 2 printers to the constituency.
These resources were handed over to Cde Delani Moyo for distribution to two schools, marking a significant step forward in improving digital learning in rural communities.
In a show of continued support for women's empowerment, it was revealed that 7,000 chickens have already been distributed to women in the constituency through ZANU PF initiatives.
Machacha pledged that more support is on the way, with an additional batch of chickens to be delivered in the coming week, along with 40 sewing machines to bolster women's economic participation through small-scale manufacturing and tailoring projects.
Access to clean water remains a top priority in Insiza North.
ZANU PF Matabeleland South Chairman Hon. Nqobizitha Mangaliso Ndhlovu secured brand-new drilling rig from RIDA, that has been deployed to aid Cde Delani Moyo's campaign to improve water access. So far, 10 out of 13 new boreholes have been drilled, with 5 yielding water and 5 unfortunately dry.
In addition, 10 existing boreholes have been repaired, providing relief to several communities facing water scarcity.
The rally showcased ZANU PF's strong presence in the region and underscored the party's commitment to delivering real, measurable development under the guidance of President Mnangagwa and the Second Republic's "leaving no one and no place behind" mantra.
