Zimbabwe international Andy Rinomhota has officially parted ways with Cardiff City, bringing an end to a three-year tenure at the Welsh club that saw both highs and lows. His departure was confirmed by the club over the weekend, following the midfielder's decision to turn down a contract extension offer despite having a year remaining on his deal, which was set to run until June 30, 2025.

Rinomhota took to Instagram to share an emotional farewell with the club's supporters, reflecting on his time at Cardiff with a mixture of gratitude and reflection. The 27-year-old acknowledged the challenges he faced while also expressing appreciation for the opportunity to grow as a player and individual during his stay.

"My time at Cardiff City has come to an end after three years filled with ups, downs, and lessons I'll carry with me," Rinomhota wrote. "It wasn't always perfect, and there were challenges, but I'll always be grateful for the journey. I leave with nothing but respect and gratitude toward the club and its fans. Wishing the club all the best for the future and hoping they return to where they belong."

Rinomhota joined Cardiff City in 2022 and made 84 appearances for the club, including 36 during the team's most recent campaign, which ended in disappointment with relegation. Despite the club's struggles, the Zimbabwean midfielder was a consistent presence in the squad, earning recognition for his work ethic and versatility in the middle of the park.

Now a free agent, Rinomhota's next destination is the subject of growing interest. With solid experience in the English Championship and his growing profile on the international stage with Zimbabwe, the midfielder is expected to attract attention from clubs both in the UK and abroad.

As Cardiff City looks to rebuild following relegation, Rinomhota's departure marks the end of an era, while opening a new chapter in the career of one of Zimbabwe's promising midfield talents.
