Sabhuku caught pants down
3 hrs ago | Views

Drama erupted in the quiet village of Chetumbu in Insiza North after a local man, Maqhawe Magama (30), caught his village head, Godwishes Sibanda, in his bedroom with his wife.
Magama said the incident occurred on 11 July after he intercepted a message from the Sabhuku arranging a secret meeting with his wife.
"I pretended to be my wife and invited him over. He walked straight into my bedroom like he owned it. I caught him red-handed, and he started apologising immediately. I couldn't believe my eyes," Magama recounted.
He quickly called in neighbours, who witnessed the chaos and escorted Sibanda back to his homestead. The villagers had promised a meeting to resolve the matter, but it never took place.
Magama, who has been married for four years, said his relationship is now strained. "My wife is distant and keeps saying she found work somewhere. This Sabhuku destroyed my marriage," he said.
His wife, Siduduzile Moyo, who has a child from a previous relationship, has reportedly threatened to leave.
Attempts to reach Sibanda for comment were unsuccessful; he hung up and blocked calls from reporters.
Villagers expressed outrage over the incident. One elder commented, "If a Sabhuku can do this to a man in his own home, what example is he setting for the youth?"
As tensions simmer, Magama's family remains in turmoil, and the reputation of the once-respected village head lies in tatters.
