A 45-YEAR-OLD Chipinge man was sentenced to three years in jail after he was found transporting 5000 grams of cannabis at a police road block.
Lovemore Jekesa was travelling in a Honda Fit registration number AEA 6666 when he was intercepted by the police at 65-kilometre peg along the Tanganda-Ngundu highway.
Jekesa was convicted by Chipinge magistrate Nixon Mangoti, who suspended one year on condition of good behaviour.
The court heard that the dagga was discovered on September 22 when the police were conducting searches on the road.
