A National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) driver who had been missing since 13 March 2026 has been found dead in Norton, the authority has confirmed.

In a statement, NPAZ said the body of Shingirai Chikosha, who was based in Harare, was discovered after several days of intensive search efforts.

“The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) regretfully informs members of the public that Shingirai Chikosha, who had been reported missing since 13 March 2026, has been found deceased in Norton,” the statement read.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police has launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding both his disappearance and death.

NPAZ appealed to members of the public with any information that may assist the police to report to their nearest station.

“The Authority extends its sincere gratitude to all individuals and organisations who participated in the search efforts and offered various forms of support during this difficult period,” the statement added.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr Chikosha’s family, particularly his wife and children, as they navigate this profound loss. May they find comfort and strength during this time of grief.”
