Two die in Chivhu-Gutu road traffic accident

Two people have died in a road traffic accident that occurred on 5 April along the Chivhu–Gutu Road.
Police confirmed the incident through a statement posted on their X account.
“The ZRP reports a fatal road traffic accident which occurred on April 5, at the 11 km peg along Chivhu–Gutu Road. A motorist who was driving a Toyota Hilux, carrying five passengers and heading towards Chivhu, lost control of the vehicle,” police said.
“The vehicle veered off the road to the right and overturned several times before landing on its wheels. As a result of the crash, two people died on the spot while four others were injured.”
The bodies of the victims were taken to Chivhu General Hospital mortuary for post‑mortem.
