MDC Renewal interim treasurer Elton Mangoma is allegedly embroiled in a bitter wrangle with a Harare man who is accusing him of stealing his wife and renting her an apartment a development likely to spill to the courts soon.
This is being exposed by the gilted man Believe Tevera who claim to be Renewal team member who has since formed a whatsapp group chat to expose the illicit love affair.
In his chat on May 25 Tevera of Glenview said he created this group only to unfold what is in his heart.
"I thought that as renewal team we are a family but I have discovered that some of our leaders want to take advantage of us using their money" said Tevera. "This is mainly directed to Mangoma, who is in love with my wife Yemurai Maravanyika and who financed her to run away from our home and he is paying rent for her, leaving behind a 1 year old son. I think Yemurai is like a daughter to you vaMangoma because she is only 20 years old but you saw a wife in her, what kind of leader are you, you make renewal unsafe for our daughters, wives, and sisters. You have money but its yours dont use it to steal other peoples' happiness."
His chat was later joined by a senior member of the party and former legislator Eveline Masaiti who posed several questions to him at the same time offering advice to him.
Tevera asked leaders of the party to join the chat group and offer their opinion advice.
He claimed to be having Mangoma 's photos while at Jamason hotel with his wife saying he has lost respect of leaders because of Mangoma 's conduct describing him as sex monger.
Masaiti when joining the chat asked if the claim was true and Tevera said yes asking her to trust him and told her she is the woman 's husband.
Masaiti then responded asking as to where the child was.
Tevera said the child was his mother who is the child 's grandmother.
Masaiti then said the issue of child was painful to think about.
Masaiti asked for evidence promising to talk to Mangoma.
"Masaiti we hav evidence beyond reasonable doubt" said Tevera.
Masaiti said Tevera should have waited to take the child to home.
Tevera told the group that Mangoma was not denying the illicit affair and the love scandal was exposed to him by his wife 's friends whom Mangoma used to take his wife out with.
" So who is taking care of the child now? Where is the mother living now" asked Masaiti.
" Your wife is young as Mangoma's daughter."
Tevera said Mangoma was renting a flat for his wife in Malbourgh.
Tevera said because of his son he will never forgive Mangoma.
"You have turned me into a baby sitter Mangoma" said Tevera.
Tevera is a member of the MDC Renewal Harare Youth Provincial Executive and chat group members asked leaders to chip in and assist him.
"I plead with you Tevera to please wait to do any further actions you planned to do and give us an opportunity to try and help this sad situation" said Masaiti. "Only that my one and only son is critically ill with celebral malaria at Westend hospital but I will try my level best to help despite the predicament.
