MDC-T senior member Job Sikhala has said the exchange of bad words between party's secretary general Douglas Mwonzora and Chalton Hwende does not mean the whole party is in turmoil.
"There are tendencies to blow out of proportion two individuals' differences into a conflict in a party," said Sikhala.
"Several reports in both online and local print media want to paint the leaked WhatsApp chat of our party's Standing Committee as signs of a huge fight of magnificent proportions. There is nothing to write home about from those chats."
He said the only thing to write home about is the exchange of bad words between Chalton Hwende and Douglas Mwonzora.
"The exchange of words between the two gentlemen is not reflective of the truth on the ground," said Sikhala. "Our grassroots supporters don't care about the difference between the two gentlemen as long as their main man Morgan Tsvangirai is not embroiled into the childish pan. Leaking of private conversations generally comes back to haunt the leaker. Whoever leaked that conversation for whatever reasons best known to himself will come back to haunt him."
He said people of Zimbabwe are worried more about how they should extricate themselves from Mugabe's dictatorship and the poor environs he casted them into our struggle needs the highest level of maturity and caution in decisions we take. "He who leaked it knows himself and l bet my last dollar it will come back to haunt you," he said.
