Kuwadzana residents are reported to have gone for three weeks without electricity amid concerns by the residents that the power utility, Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority is taking them for a ride.

Harare Residents Trust posted on social media that residents are not happy with the way Zesa is failing to attend to faults in communities.

"Suburbs like Kuwadzana 3 had no electricity for three weeks since mid July up to Saturday 01 August," said the trust.

"Glen Norah B had no electricity since 01 August and residents said they experience a fault after every loadshedding schedule. Budiriro 4 had no electricity since 01 August up to 04 August evening."

This is despite that most areas in urban centres have now connected to cash power.

The trust also said Mbare- Sanyanga street experiences power shortages on alternate houses. One side of the street may have electricity while the other does not. Residents do not know why they experience such changes.
